Behavior Plan...
Dear Parent or Guardian,
My approach to classroom discipline is very simple: keep students very busy and engaged in meaningful learning activities and inappropriate behavior is not usually a problem. When or if inappropriate behavior and/or lack of cooperation continuously becomes a problem, my approach is also simple……contact his/her parents immediately.
Daily feedback is important to parents and teachers. All students start out on green (Good Job). If any problem occurs you will see it marked on your child's calendar by color (yellow, blue, or red). If your child has moved to red, expect to see an explanation of the problem along with a written assignment completed by your child for you to sign. If the problem is severe, I will call you at home or work immediately, which is my usual practice. My goal is for them to be engaged and ready to learn.
Please initial the calendar each day indicating that you have seen your child’s behavior. This two-way communication will let your child know that we are working together. A new calendar will be placed in your child's folder at the beginning of each month.
Again, expect your child to stay on green. Praise and encourage them at home for excellent conduct and character. We are in this together!! I am always here for you and your child.
